標題 Negative Capability-Related Dimensions Among Local Government Public Health Nurses in Japan and Their Associated Factors

概要 To clarify the negative capabilities and related factors possessed by public health nurses, a web survey was conducted on 500 randomly selected municipalities and 100 public health centers nationwide. A monitor survey of 300 people from the general population was also conducted as a comparison. A t-test comparing the results with those of the general population showed that public health nurses scored significantly higher on the ambiguity tolerance scale (p<0.001) and the subscales of attitudes toward ambiguity, including ambiguity enjoyment, anxiety, acceptance, control, and exclusion (p<0.001). A multiple regression analysis using the ambiguity scale as the dependent variable and age, experience, and other scales as independent variables revealed that age (p=0.027), other work experience (p=0.021), RS14 (p<0.001), and the Public Health Nurse Career Development Scale (p=0.002) influenced a high level of ambiguity enjoyment.
