概要 This study aimed to report on the Mindful Eating Program practice.
Participants were six women (mean age=59.00 years, SD=13.65) with no current eating problems. The program consisted of three group sessions: (1) mindful eating work, (2) nutritional work to consider dietary content, and (3) a discussion on the two work sessions. During the program, participants were given homework assignments.
The Eating Well-being Scale (EWS) was used to compare pre- and post-test scores. The results showed that EWS scores were significantly higher after the program than before. In addition, participants mentioned that they could notice sensations they were usually unaware of, and that selecting foods considering their color and combinations were intriguing.
This approach was considered significant from the participants' comments because they expressed opinions that linked physical health with mental well-being.
