概要 | The purpose of this study was to clarify the educational effect of gatekeeper training for nursing college students using peer education. The intervention group was provided with a video of a lecture by a nursing student on gatekeeping , which was later followed up with an online role-play training session. The surveys included the Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper Self-Efficacy Scale (GKSES), Japanese version of the Literacy of Suicide Scale (LOSS-J), and Kessler Psychological Distress Scale (K6). Result of a two-factor analysis of variance, the GKSES revealed a significant interaction (p<.001, ηp2=.372) between time (before and after) and group (intervention and control). LOSS-J revealed a significant main effect of time (p=.037, ηp2=.137) only; both groups’ scores improved. Peer gatekeeper training could be effective for encouraging gatekeepers and improving their skills. |
