概要 The purpose of this study is to assess the usefulness of our developing educational program for medical interpreters in terms of basic medical knowledge. We conducted our educational program with 27 Brazilians residing in Shizuoka prefecture in Japan, between August to December 2013. We analyzed the effectiveness of the program by a written test of basic knowledge for medical interpreters by a one-way repeated measures ANOVA on the first day, at the middle day, and the last day of the program. The total score was significantly higher after the program than before. Post-test results showed that our educational program for medical interpreters could be useful in improving basic medical knowledge in medical interpreting.
